Truman Picks Up Second Dual Win of the Year over Central College
The Truman wrestling team registered its third dual victory in the 13-match series with the Central College Dutch tonight.
The Bulldogs took a 12-3 lead after four matches, helped by freshman 141-pounder Merrick Meyer (St. Charles, Mo./Francis Howell North) who won by a major decision over Brady Johnson, 16-5, and junior Nolyn Wagner (Kirksville, Mo.), who won by a technical fall over Ryan Bredlau at 149 pounds.
Truman went up 17-9 after Gregg Nurrenbern also technical falled Tom Atkinson at 174 pounds.
The Dutch came back to win the final two matches of the evening by decision to leave the final score at 20-16 in the 'Dogs favor.
Approximately 210 spectators attended Truman's only home meet of the season. The Bulldogs are back in action on Saturday with dual meets at Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville and Lindenwood College.
