Truman Wrestlers Lose to No. 1 Nebraska-Kearney

About 150 wrestling fans braved arctic conditions in Kirksville to see the Truman wrestling team take on the No. 1 team in NCAA Division II, Nebraska-Kearney. The Antelopes handed the Bulldogs a 41-7 loss with sophomores Merrick Meyer, at 141 pounds, and Greg Nurrenbern, at 184 pounds, posted the 'Dogs' only wins.

Truman plays host to regional foe Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville on Sunday at 2 p.m. The Bulldogs fall to 1-10 in dual matches for the season and are preparing for the NCAA regional qualifying tournament on March 2, which the 'Dogs will host as well.
