Truman Wrestling team loses first home dual to Central College

 

The Truman wrestlers hosted their first dual meet of the season, but fell to Central College of Pella, Iowa, 23-19.

The Bulldogs had a slim 19-17 lead going into the final match of the evening, but could not hold on for the win.

Tom Tajkowski won his 165-pound match by a 4-2 decision. Greg Nurrenbern took the 184-pound bout by a fall in 1:37, while John Horman won a 5-1 decision at 197 pounds.

Merrick Meyer was the final winner for Truman for the night, posting a major decision over Nate Forsythe, 20-8.

The Bulldogs are now 1-3 in duals his season.
