Sept. 12, 2006 – The Truman women’s tennis team hosted three other schools for the annual Women’s Singles Invitational this past weekend. In the rain-shortened event, three Bulldog players posted winning records with sophomore Samantha McClure finishing with a perfect 3-0 record.
The tournament was divided into three flights with the one and two players playing in flight one, three and four in flight two and five and six in flight three. Jennifer Salmon and Courtney Walther each went 2-1 in flight one. Salmon defeated Maria Cellititi of Johnson Country and Kristen Meschede of
Hannah Wittmer and Jessica Krause each went 1-2 in the second flight, while McClure posted a 3-0 mark in flight three. McClure won her three matches by an 8-1, 8-2 and 8-4 scores.
The Bulldogs will next be in action on Tuesday again
