Sept. 5, 2007 – The Bulldog men’s golf team placed 12th at the Missouri Intercollegiate golf tournament played at the Club of Porto Cima at the Lake of the Ozarks.  Scott Danielsen led the Bulldogs with three round total of 233.

 

The tournament featured most collegiate golf playing schools in the state of Missouri, including all MIAA golf schools.

 

The three-round event had the Bulldogs shoot 322 in the first round, but improved to 308 after the second.  In the final round, Truman backed up to 329.

 

Danielsen opened up with an 80 but followed up with a two-over par 74 before ending with a seven-over 79.  Danielsen finished in a tie for 24th.

 

Other sub-80 rounds for the Bulldogs were turned in by Adam Clatterbuck (79), Kels Lovegreen (78) and freshman Chris Kovach (77).

 

The team will look to use their home course advantage as the Bulldogs host all the MIAA and additional schools on Sept. 17-18 at the Kirksville Country Club.  It will be the first of five MIAA scoring events this season.  The public in invited to watch with tee times beginning on Monday and Tuesday at 8:30 a.m.
