Oct. 13, 2007 - The No. 6 Bulldog volleyball team clinched a spot in the MIAA Conference Tournament with a 3-0 (-16, -26, -24) win Saturday night at Fort Hays (Kan.) State University. Junior right side hitter Melissa Keck led the team with 12 kills and hit .370 for the match.
Truman (24-4, 7-1 MIAA) closed out its three-night, three-match road trip with a quick decision, as the Bulldogs held the Tigers to a .074 hitting percentage, including a combined .044 effort in games one and two combined (22k-18e-90ta).
Keck was the only Bulldog to finish with double-figure kills, while both freshman Ashley Petak and senior Amanda Holliday finished above the 20-assist plateau, and junior outside hitter Eli Medina tallied a team-high 14 digs.
Truman returns to the court on Wednesday evening when the squad travels to Missouri Western before returning home for a Saturday afternoon contest with Northwest Missouri State. The Bulldogs defeated both the Griffons and the Bearcats 3-0 earlier this season.
