Sept. 21, 2009 – The Truman women’s golf team won by 20 shots at the Nebraska Wesleyan Fall Invitational in Lincoln on Monday. Krystal Limsiaco and Jennifer Lawson both tied for second with a two-day total of 153.
The Bulldogs were ahead of second place Dakota Wesleyan by 12 shots after the first round Sunday and were led by Lawson’s three-over par 75.
Limsiaco was able to card the low round of the tournament with a one-over 73 to bounce back from the 80 she posted after the first round to tie Lawson. Danielle Bellet of Dakota Wesleyan was the medalist with a 152.
Jessica Schepker (171) finished 11th while Jessica Tomash (173) tied for 13th with teammate Jacqui Ball Kathryn Hogan (180) was 25th. Lynn Dreisilker (182) tied for 26th.
Truman will compete next at the Millikin Fall Invite in Decatur, Ill. on Sept. 26-27.
