Oct. 12, 2009 – Junior Chris Kovach took top honors at the Maryville University Fall Invitational on Monday. Kovach shot a pair of even par 71s en route to his first collegiate tournament win.
Kovach and freshman Eric Laugeman competed as individuals in the tournament as Truman did not compete in the team competition.
Kovach held a one-shot lead after the first 18 holes on Sunday and increased his margin of victory by three shots over Clarke Fry of Rockhurst University (Mo.).
The Maryville tournament was the final event for the Bulldog men’s golf team this fall.
