(EVANSVILLE, IND.) – Sophomore Anne Ratermann finished in 67th place, while fellow sophomore Dani Dell’Orco came in 86th at the 2009 Div. II National Cross Country championship on Saturday afternoon. 184 runners competed in the season's final event at the University of Southern Indiana cross country course.
Ratermann posted a time of 22:31, 19 seconds in front of Dell’Orco’s 22:50 mark.
The pair of Bulldogs finished 16th and 17th amongst those not running with a team, as both Ratermann and Dell’Orco qualified for the national championship following their results at the South Central regional two weeks ago. The 6K course and national meet was hosted by USI and featured 24 teams and 184 total runners.
Jessica Pixler, a senior from Seattle Pacific University, took home the top individual time at 20:22, and Adams State University grabbed the team title with an average team time of 21:28.
