July 16, 2010 – The Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association (MIAA) announced its 2009-2010 academic awards on Friday afternoon, with Truman athletes accounting for 328 of the approximately 1,600 total recipients throughout the conference.
May 10, 2010 – The Truman Athletics Department held its annual student-athlete recognition night on Tuesday, May 4, with swimmers Kate Aherne and Andrew McCall, along with track and field athlete Katrina Biermann picking up the evening’s top honors.
March 3, 2010 – Three student-athletes from Truman are featured in this month’s “NCAA On Campus” national television program that is aired on the CBS College Sports Network and available online.
Nov. 23, 2009 – With construction beginning on the new addition to the Pershing Building, changes have been made to accommodate parking for arena events. The public entrance to Pershing Arena for events will now be located on the west side by the concession stand.
Nov. 18, 2009 – Finding information about Truman State University Athletics just became much easier as TrumanBulldogs.com is now the official web address for the Bulldogs.
Nov. 4, 2009 – In the final regular season regional rankings of the 2009 season, the Truman women’s soccer team slid two spots to No. 5 in the South Central region while the Truman men’s soccer team once again stayed at No. 3.
Oct. 28, 2009 – Both Truman soccer teams held the No. 3 spot in their respective NCAA South Central regional polls this week, as the women jumped from 5th to 3rd after a pair of wins while the men stayed put following one win last week.
Oct. 21, 2009 – The NCAA released its weekly regional soccer polls on Tuesday and Wednesday, and both Truman teams found themselves in different spots following last week’s results. The Bulldog men slipped one spot to No. 3, while the Bulldog women jumped one spot to No. 5 in their respective polls.
Oct. 7, 2009 – The Truman Student Athlete Advisory Committee will be hosting their canned food drive during four home events upcoming in October. Fans may bring a non-perishable food item to the games and be entered to win team autographed items.
July 6, 2009 - Pittsburg State University and Truman State University continue to rank one-two among NCAA Division II institutions at producing CoSIDA Academic All-Americans, following the completion of the 2008-09 academic year, and the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association continues to lead all Division II conferences in CoSIDA Academic All-America® placement during this decade.
June 26, 2009 – The student-athletes of the Truman Athletics department boasted an average cumulative grade-point average of 3.20 after posting a spring grade-point average of 3.27 according to the annual spring grades summary report. All 21 sports had over a 3.0 cumulative grade-point average and 46 student-athletes had a 4.0 grade-point average this past spring.

June 16, 2009 – The Truman Bulldogs were recognized by the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association (MIAA) as having the highest Academic Success Rate in the conference. Truman’s 95% success rate was up three percent from last year and tied them with the University of Central Missouri for the largest gain in the league.
Oct. 27, 2008 – Junior women’s soccer forward Jessica Wiegert was named the MIAA Offensive Player of the Week for women’s soccer on Monday by the conference office. The selection marked the second consecutive week that a Truman player received the award.
Oct. 20, 2008 – Senior volleyball right-side hitter Melissa Keck and junior women’s soccer midfielder Katie Reuck were named MIAA Players of the Week for their respective sports on Monday by the conference office. It’s the first time each player has received the award in 2008.
Oct. 16, 2008 - Two of Truman’s fall sports teams received recognition in the NCAA’s official regional rankings on Wednesday, as the women’s soccer squad held the top spot in its region, while Truman volleyball currently sits third in its first official poll.
Oct. 15, 2008 – Saturday has been designated “Take A Kid To The Game” day as the Bulldogs host Washburn at Stokes Stadium. In addition, the “Party In The Park” tailgate picnic will begin at noon under the tent in the west parking lot by Red Barn Park.
Sept. 15, 2008 – John and Melissa Ware, Gerald Burditt, Alec Meinke and Steve Schieppe will be the 2008 Inductees into the Truman State University Athletics Hall of Fame. The induction will take place on Homecoming weekend Oct. 3-4th.
