Feb. 12, 2008 – Juniors Grace DelNero, Bryant England and Danna Kelly were named to the NCAA Division II United States Track and Field & Cross Country Coaches Association all-Academic team for the past Cross Country season.
Nov. 3, 2007 – The Truman men’s cross country team placed eighth out of 16 teams at the NCAA South Central regional cross country championships held in Joplin on Saturday. Bryant England was the first Bulldogs to cross the line in 31st place.
Oct. 20, 2007 – The Missouri Southern Lions continued their domination in the MIAA men’s cross country field with their seventh championship since 2000. Dustin Dixon of the Lions, crossed the line first for the individual championship in a time of 26:07.34.
Oct. 17, 2007 – Truman State University will host the 2007 MIAA Cross Country Championships this Saturday at the Kirksville Country Club. The women’s 6K race will begin at 10:30 a.m., while the men’s 8K race will start at 11:15. It will be the first time since 2004 that the cross country teams have had a race in Kirksville.
Oct. 6, 2007 – The Truman men’s cross country team placed 16th out of 27 schools at the Border Wars Invitational hosted by Southern Illinois University Edwardsville. Bryant England was the top Bulldog finisher with a time of 27:53.60 and in 52nd place.
Sept. 28, 2007 – The Bulldog men’s cross country team placed 2nd at the Emporia State Jock’s Nitch Invitational on Friday afternoon. Josh Mantooth led the team with a 10th place finish.
Sept. 15, 2007 – Freshman Josh Mantooth was the top Bulldog runner at the Southern Stampede cross country meet held in Joplin on Saturday. Mantooth finished with a time of 26:33 as the Bulldogs took 24th out of 36 teams.
Sept. 8, 2007 - The Bulldog men's cross country team finished third in its season-opening race at the 6K Miner Invitational, led by Bob Gorman's 7th-place time of 15:47. Truman is back in action next weekend at the Southern Stampede in Joplin, Mo.
August 3, 2007 – Both Truman Cross Country teams were picked to finish sixth during the upcoming fall season. The Bulldogs may have an advantage as Truman will host the MIAA Championships this October at the Kirksville Country Club.
June 7, 2007 – Senior Bulldog harrier Jason Simpson was recently named to ESPN The Magazine’s Academic All-District VII Second Team following a successful season with both the Truman cross country and track and field teams.
Feb. 5, 2007 – Jason Simpson and Jacquie Faust both earned All-Academic honors from the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association. Simpson was the only Bulldogs of the 111 male cross country runners, while Faust was one of 170 female cross country runners.
Feb. 1, 2007 – The Truman cross country teams both earned the distinction of being named All-Academic teams by the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association. The Bulldog men had a team GPA of 3.26, while the women’s squad posted a GPA of 3.64.
Nov. 4, 2006- The Truman men’s cross country season came to an end on Saturday with an eighth-place showing at the NCAA South Central regional meet.
Oct. 21, 2006- Jacquie Faust earned all-MIAA honors after finishing second on Saturday at the MIAA Cross Country Championships. The women's team finished seventh overall at the event.
Oct. 7, 2006- Seven men's cross country runners finished in under 28 minutes in the 8,000m course at SIU-Edwardsville at the annual Border War Championships. The Bulldogs finished 14th overall at the meet.
Sept. 29, 2006- The Truman men's cross country team got a balanced effort on Friday at the Emporia State Invitational, placing seven runners among the top-31 finishers. That helped the Bulldogs finish third at the competition.
Sept. 16, 2006- The Truman men's cross country had a strong showing on Saturday at the Southern Stampede, coming in eighth-place out of a field of 31 teams.
Sept. 9, 2006- The men's cross country team, under a new coach for the first time in 31 years, opened the 2006 season with a second-place finish at the Miner Invitational.
Feb. 17, 2006- The Truman cross country teams received both individual and team academic honors recently by the US Track & Field/Cross Country Coaches Association.
Nov. 19, 2005- After his strong showing in the NCAA regionals, Eli Klimek earned a bid to compete as an individual in the 2005 NCAA Championship race. In his final collegiate race on Saturday, Klimek finished 66th overall with a time of 33:50.
