Nov. 15, 2008 – David Shields one-yard, two-point conversion gave Missouri S&T a 39-38 double-overtime victory over the Truman State University Bulldogs in the season finale at Stokes Stadium. The Miners (7-4) snapped a 22-game winning streak over the Bulldogs (4-7) that dated back to 1983.

Nov. 12, 2008 - The 2008 Truman Football season will end like it was suppose to begin. The Bulldogs will host Missouri University of Science & Technology on Saturday at 1:00 p.m. at Stokes Stadium.

Nov. 11, 2008 – Ten Bulldog football players were named to the all-MIAA team following the conclusion of the conference season. Senior defensive lineman Les Hammers was named to the conference’s first-team.

Nov. 8, 2008 – Dustin Strickler’s 22-yard field goal with three seconds left gave Missouri Western a 33-32 victory over the Truman Bulldogs in the conference season finale. The Bulldogs erased a 17-0 deficit to take a 21-17 lead in the second quarter.

Nov. 6, 2008 – Senior Tight End Ryan King has been named to the first-team Academic all-District 7 by ESPN the Magazine and College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). King has 28 catches for 348 yards this season.

Nov. 5, 2008 - The Truman State University Football team will play their final conference game of the 2008 season as they travel to St. Joseph, Mo. and a game against the Missouri Western State University Griffons on Saturday at 1:30 p.m.

Nov. 1, 2008 – The Truman Bulldogs (4-5/3-5 MIAA) played a complete game as they dominated Missouri Southern (4-6/2-6 MIAA) 38-7 on Senior Day in Kirksville. The Bulldogs rushed for a season high 265 yards and Matt Ticich had three touchdown passes in the victory.

Oct. 29, 2008 - Two quarterbacks that will leave their mark on the MIAA record book will compete against each other as the Truman Bulldogs will host Missouri Southern on Saturday at Stokes Stadium. Kickoff on senior day is at 2:00 p.m.

Oct. 25, 2008 – Emporia State scored 21 unanswered points and rallied from a 10-point halftime deficit to defeat the Truman Football team 35-24 in Emporia, Kan. on Saturday afternoon.

Oct. 22, 2008 - The Truman Football team heads to Emporia State for a conference match-up with the Hornets on Saturday afternoon. Kickoff from Jones Field at Welch Stadium is at 1:00 p.m.

Oct. 11, 2008 – The Truman Football team tried to mount a comeback but could not dig out of an early hole as they fell to Pittsburg State 45-28 on Saturday in Pittsburg, Kan. Truman will host Washburn on Saturday in Kirksville, kickoff scheduled for 2:00 p.m.

Oct. 8, 2008 - The Truman football team will try to knock off another MIAA heavyweight as they travel to Pittsburg, Kan. to face the Gorillas on Saturday afternoon at 2:00 p.m.

Oct. 6, 2008 – The Bulldog football team had two players earn conference player of the week honors, in addition, the team is in the first NCAA regional rankings, checking in at number 10.

Oct. 4, 2008 – The Bulldog football team thrilled the homecoming crowd with a 26-20 double-overtime victory over No. 16 Nebraska-Omaha on Saturday afternoon in Kirksville. Demetrius Lavant had a 57-yard interception return to end the game and give the ‘Dogs their third straight homecoming win.

Oct. 1, 2008 – The Truman Bulldog Football team will be searching for their third consecutive Homecoming victory as they welcome conference newcomer and nationally-ranked Nebraska-Omaha to Stokes Stadium.

Sept. 27, 2008 – A dazzling start and a commanding defensive performance helped the Truman Football team defeat Fort Hays State 27-7 on Saturday afternoon in Hays, Kan. The Bulldogs (2-2/1-2 MIAA) will host Nebraska-Omaha for Homecoming next Saturday at 2:00 p.m. at Stokes Stadium.

Sept. 24, 2008 - The Truman Bulldogs will be looking to rebound after a tough night at Stokes Stadium by heading out to western Kansas and facing the Tigers of Fort Hays State for a 2:00 p.m. kickoff at Lewis Field.

Sept. 20, 2008 – Costly mistakes and six straight Northwest possessions that resulted in touchdowns helped the Bearcats retain “The Ol’ Hickory Stick” in front of a large Family Night crowd at Stokes Stadium. The Bearcats (3-1/2-0 MIAA) defeated the Truman Bulldogs (1-2/0-2 MIAA) 49-0.
