June 8, 2010 – Two Truman senior male student-athletes, swimmer Andrew McCall and tennis’ Peter Bracha, were named 2010 ESPN The Magazine Academic All-Americans on Tuesday morning. The announcement, presented by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA), marked the 88th and 89th Truman student-athletes to receive the award and the first two of the 2009-2010 academic year. McCall was named to the first-team, while Bracha notched second-team honors.
May 20, 2010 – Four Student-Athletes have been selected to the ESPN the Magazine/College Sports Information Directors of America Academic All-District team. Andrew McCall, Peter Bracha, Kate Aherne and Tanya Sylvester are all first-team honorees and will move on to the national ballot for Academic All-America considerations.
March 13, 2010 – The Truman (Mo.) State University swimming teams added ten all-American accolades on the final day of the 2010 Championships. The Bulldog women have now placed in the top-five each of the past 13 seasons, coming in fifth this year after moving up one more place on Saturday.
March 8, 2010 – Thirteen Truman swimmers will compete this Wednesday through Saturday at the 2010 NCAA Div. II Swimming and Diving Championships, held at the C.T. Branin Natatorium in Canton, Ohio. Twelve of the 13 qualifiers come on the women’s side, as the women’s program looks to kick off the new decade with a strong start after winning seven championships in the 2000s.
Feb. 13, 2010 – Kate Aherne and Emily Buss closed out the 2010 NSISC championships with a pair of A-cuts, as the Truman women’s swimming team captured its sixth conference championship in as many years by holding off host Delta State, 923.5-783.5. The Bulldog men finished in fifth place.
