May 22, 2009 – Five Truman Student-Athletes were voted to the ESPN the Magazine/College Sports Information Directors At-Large Academic All-District first team. Tennis’ Lindsy Blair, Peter Bracha and swimming’s Kate Aherne, Andrew McCall and Tanya Slyvester will be placed on the Academic All-America ballot.
March 14, 2009 – The Bulldog 400 Free Relay team of Kate Aherne, Kendra Brunkow, Tanya Sylvester and Erika Anderson finished second and the women’s team extended their streak of finishing fourth or better at the NCAA Division II Championships to 12 straight years.
Mar. 3, 2009 – Eleven swimmers, four relay squads were named all-conference and Head Coach Mark Gole was named the women’s swim coach of the year by the New South Intercollegiate Swim Conference.
Feb. 21, 2009 - Freshman Brian Tillis took advantage of a "Last Chance" meet and not only earned a berth into the national championship meet but broke a school record along the way. Tillis won the 1650 Free in a time of 15:55.78 at the Midwest Invitational hosted by the University of Chicago.
Feb. 14, 2009 – The Truman women’s swimming team captured their fifth straight New South Intercollegiate Swim Conference championship on Saturday night in Cleveland, Miss. The Bulldogs have won a conference championship 15 out of the last 16 years.
