Aug. 13, 2008 – Greg Naumann has been named assistant swimming coach at Truman State University. Naumann was previously the head swimming coach at Division III Augustana College in Rock Island, Ill.
Mar. 15, 2008 – The Bulldog women’s swimming team won the 2008 NCAA Division II Swimming & Diving Championship at the Mizzou Aquatics Center in Columbia, Mo. on Saturday night. This makes seven national championships in eight years for the Truman women.
Mar. 14, 2008 – Truman women’s 800 free relay team captured the national title and is now tied with Drury University with 351 points as the two rivals will battle on Saturday in the final day of the Division II Swimming & Diving Championships
Mar. 13, 2008 – Truman’s lead at the Division II National Swimming & Division Championships is just one point after the second day of competition on the women’s side. The Bulldogs lead rival Drury 226 to 225 at the Mizzou Aquatics Center in Columbia, Mo.
Mar. 10, 2008 – There will be 23 Truman Student-Athletes participating in NCAA Division II Championship events this week. The Swimming & Diving Championships will be held in Columbia, Mo., the Indoor Track & Field Championships in Mankato, Minn. and the Wrestling Championships in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
Feb. 17, 2008 - For the fourth year in a row, the Truman women’s swim team triumphed at the New South Intercollegiate Conference Championships, beating out Delta State, OBU and the rest of the pack for the team title.
Feb. 1, 2008 – Sophomore swimmer Duncan Stephens sported a Truman Swimming shirt while appearing on CBS’s Late Show with David Letterman. Stephens and high school friend Kyle Campbell were part of the show’s “Stupid Human Tricks”
Jan. 26, 2008 – The defending national champions in Division II swimming defeated the Truman Bulldogs in a dual meet on Saturday afternoon. The Drury Panthers defeated the women 129-107, while the men were downed 154-67.
Jan. 25, 2008 – The Truman men’s swimming team fell to Missouri Science & Tech on Friday night in Rolla, Mo. by a score of 133-77. The Bulldogs will next be in action on Saturday as the join the women’s squad for their annual rivalry match with Drury (Mo.).
Jan. 19, 2008 - The Truman State men upset Lewis 128-77 while the Truman State women won 166-39 on Saturday at Truman's Senior Day dual meet.
Jan. 18, 2008 - The Truman women's swim team defeated Missouri State 77-18, while the men's team lost 80-15 on Friday night at the Pershing Natatorium. Truman took first place in all 11 events in the women's meet, while Missouri State did the same on the men's side.
Jan. 12, 2008 - The Bulldog swim teams won all three dual meets in Omaha this weekend. The Truman men upset South Dakota 132 to 68. The women beat the nation's number one ranked team in South Dakota 132 to 105 and the University of Nebraska-Omaha 149.5 to 55.5.
Jan. 10, 2008 - The Truman Swim Teams finished top two at the University of Tampa relay meet on January 5. The teams will compete this Saturday in Omaha, Neb. against the University of Nebraska-Omaha and the University of South Dakokta.
Dec. 1, 2007 – The Bulldog women’s swim team placed second and the men took eighth at the Miami (Ohio) Invitational over the weekend. The women qualifed all five relay teams for the national meet, while Alex Totura broke his own school record in the 200 free.
Nov. 30, 2007 – The Bulldog women’s swim team is in third and the men are sitting in seventh after the first day of the Miami (Ohio) Invitational. The meet will continue on Friday and run through Saturday.
Nov. 17, 2007 - The Bulldog swim teams came up short against Division I University of Iowa. Both women and men's teams lost to the Hawkeyes 139-123 and 162-95, respectively.
Nov. 3, 2007 - The women's swim team turned in a pair of wins against Indianapolis this weekend while the men's team fought mightily in a pair of losses. The Bulldog women won their Friday and Saturday meets against the Indianapolis Greyhounds with scores of 112-87 and 120-81. The men were outscored by the Greyhounds 107-98 and 109-94.
Nov. 1, 2007 - In what Swimming World magazine has named their Meet of the Week, the Truman swim teams host Indianapolis this weekend in a two day, star-powered event. The meet gets underway on Friday at 6:00 p.m. at the Pershing Natatorium.
Oct. 20, 2007 - The Bulldog swim teams opened their season Saturday in Springfield, Mo. The men and women's teams swam against Division I Missouri State and Division II conference rival Delta State. The women's team defeated Delta's women handily, while Missouri State outscored the Bulldogs by nine points, with a score of 124-115. The men lost to both Delta and Missouri State, with scores of 118-112 and 192-38, respectively.
Oct. 19, 2007 - Splashing back into action, the Truman swimming teams hit the pool this Saturday for their first official meet of the year. The Bulldogs will face Division I, Missouri State and Division II conference rival Delta State in a triangular meet in Springfield, Mo. The meet begins at 1:00 p.m.
