May 4, 2008 – The Bulldog Track & Field teams won four individual championships at this year’s MIAA conference meet at Maryville, Mo. this past weekend. The women’s team placed fourth while the men were in eighth.
Apr. 27, 2008 – The Bulldog track and field teams headed north for the Kip Janvrin Simpson College Open in Pella and a few student-athletes competed at the Drake Relays this past weekend. This was the final tune-up event for the MIAA Championships next weekend in Maryville.
Apr. 19, 2008 – The Bulldog track and field teams competed at the Dewey Allgood meet held at Missouri Science & Tech on Saturday. The Truman women had nine first place finishes, while the men brought home six top finishes.
Apr. 13, 2008 – Ashley Bernard and Sean Bergstedt earned athlete of the meet honors as the Truman Track & Field teams competed at the Division II Challenge, hosted by Emporia State. The Bulldog women finished third, while the men took eighth.
Apr. 5, 2008 – Sean Bergstedt broke his own meet record and automatically qualified for the Division II outdoor championships with a time of 51.45 in the 400 meter hurdles at the Northwest Missouri Invitational on Saturday. Both the men’s and women’s teams took second in the team standings.
Mar. 29, 2008 – Senior Sean Bergstedt set a new Stokes Stadium record as he provisionally qualified in the 400 meter hurdles during the 11th Annual Truman Open Track & Field Meet held at Stokes Stadium/Kenneth Gardner Track. Christen Lauer and Joe Ackerman also posted top marks during the meet.
Mar.21, 2008 – The Truman Outdoor Track & Field teams competed for the first time at the newly renovated Central Methodist facility in Fayette, Mo. The Bulldogs won multiple events on both teams and will host the Truman Open next Saturday at Stokes Stadium/Kenneth Gardner Track.
Mar. 1, 2008 – Shaina Doctermann and Katrina Biermann both won events as the Truman women’s track team placed fourth at the MIAA Indoor Championships in Joplin, Mo. this weekend. The men’s team finished 8th.
Feb. 29, 2008 – The Truman Track & Field teams will compete for the MIAA Indoor Championships on Friday and Saturday in Joplin, Mo at Missouri Southern State University.
Feb. 26, 2008 – Sean Bergstedt, Amber Clayton, Christen Lauer and Katrina Biermann were all event winners for the Bulldog Track & Field teams on Friday at the Central Missouri Open in Warrensburg, Mo. This meet was a prelude to next Saturday’s MIAA Indoor Championship meet.
Feb. 17, 2008 – Both Bulldog Track & Field teams captured titles at the Knox College (Ill.) Invitational on Saturday by nearly 80 points apiece. The Bulldog women took first in nine events, while the men won seven.
Feb. 9, 2008 – The Truman Track teams competed at the Illinois College Blue Classic on Saturday in Jacksonville. Sean Bergstedt took home top honors in the 55 meter hurdles, Katrina Biermann won the pole vault and Ashley Bernard won the weight throw.
Feb. 2, 2008 – The Bulldog Indoor Track & Field teams competed at the Northern Iowa Invitational on Saturday. Truman’s Kevin Crean took home top honors in the 1000 meter run with a time of 2:31.55.
Jan. 26, 2008 – The Truman Track teams competed at the Iowa State University Open on Saturday in Ames. Top finishers for the teams were Christen Lauer winning the women’s triple jump with a new school record, while Kevin Crean finished eighth in the 800.
Jan. 19, 2008 – Sean Bergstedt and Christen Lauer were the Bulldogs top placers at the Iowa Hawkeye Open on Saturday in Iowa City. The Bulldogs will compete at the Iowa State Cyclone Meet next weekend.
Dec. 7, 2007 - The Truman Indoor Track & Field teams opened their 2007-08 season at the Iowa State Holiday Preview in Ames on Friday. Christen Lauer won the triple jump and Sean Bergstedt placed second in the 400 were among the highlights.
July 11, 2007 – Both Truman Track and Field teams were named Division II all-Academic by the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association. The Bulldog women post a team grade-point average of 3.29, while the men’s team earned a 3.06 GPA.
June 7, 2007 – Senior Bulldog harrier Jason Simpson was recently named to ESPN The Magazine’s Academic All-District VII Second Team following a successful season with both the Truman cross country and track and field teams.
May 26, 2007 – Bulldog junior Sean Bergstedt wrapped up his record-setting season with a final race at the NCAA Division II Outdoor Track and Field Championships. His time of 50.18 in the 400 meter hurdles earned a second place finish in the event, which was held at Charlotte, N.C.
May 17, 2007 - The participants for the 2007 NCAA Division II Outdoor Track and Field Championships were recently announced, with five Bulldog athletes will be competing in the national meet. Sean Bergstedt, Danna Kelly, Jacquie Faust, Bridgette Carpenter, and Ashley Colon will all make the trip to represent Truman at Charlotte, N.C on May 24-26.
