Mar. 11, 2008 – Truman State University’s Director of Athletics Jerry Wollmering has announced that Women’s Basketball Coach John Sloop’s contract will not be renewed for next season and a search for a new coach will begin as soon as possible.
Mar. 10, 2008 – Senior Katie Fowler (Unionville, Mo.) of the Truman women’s basketball team was named to the All-Tournament team following the MIAA Championships in Kansas City over the weekend.
March 8, 2008 – The Bulldog women’s basketball squad mounted a furious late rally, turning a 19-point second half deficit into a one-possession game, but two late SBU free throws ended Truman’s tournament hopes as the Lady Bearcats took a 70-65 decision Saturday in Kansas City. Truman finishes the season with a 16-13 overall record – the most wins from a Bulldog squad since the 1999-2000 campaign.
March, 7, 2008 - After knocking off second-seeded and nationally-ranked Emporia State Thursday night, the Truman women’s basketball team will hit the floor Saturday for an MIAA tournament semifinal contest against Southwest Baptist University.
March 6, 2008 – Senior guard Katie Fowler scored a career-high 26 points as the 7th-seeded Truman Bulldogs upset nationally-ranked and second-seeded Emporia State 77-70 in the first-round of the 2008 MIAA Tournament.
The Bulldog women’s basketball team will head to Kansas City Thursday to take on nationally-ranked Emporia State at 6:00 p.m. in the first round of the 2008 MIAA Tournament.
March 3, 2008 - After finishing the regular season atop Truman's single-season scoring chart, junior forward Georgia Mueller was a unanimous selection Monday to the 2007-08 All-MIAA Women's Basketball Team. Mueller finished the regular season averaging 22.4 points and 9.8 rebounds per game.
March 1, 2008 – Georgia Mueller broke the Bulldog single-season scoring record in style, finishing with a career-high 34 points, as the Truman women’s basketball squad secured the No. 7 seed for next week’s MIAA Tournament with a 79-72 victory at Pittsburg State Saturday afternoon. Senior guard Katie Fowler fell just shy of a triple-double with nine points, eight assists and seven rebounds for the ’Dogs.

Feb. 27, 2008 - Four Lady Hornets scored in double-figures as the nationally-ranked Emporia State women's basketball squad beat Truman 80-54 in Pershing Arena Wednesday night. Truman was still able to clinch a berth to the 2008 MIAA post-season tournament with a combination of Fort Hays State's loss at Washburn and Missouri Western's win at Northwest Missouri State.

Senior guard Katie Fowler added 15 points and eight rebounds.

The loss marked the seventh in a row for Truman, who fell into a three-way tie for the final two MIAA post-season tournament spots with three games remaining.
