June 12, 2009 – Three Truman female student-athletes were named Academic All-America by ESPN the Magazine and the College Sports Information Directors of America. Junior Swimmer Kate Aherne was a first-team selection while sophomore teammate Tanya Slyvester and senior tennis player Lindsy Blair were third team picks.
May 22, 2009 – Five Truman Student-Athletes were voted to the ESPN the Magazine/College Sports Information Directors At-Large Academic All-District first team. Tennis’ Lindsy Blair, Peter Bracha and swimming’s Kate Aherne, Andrew McCall and Tanya Slyvester will be placed on the Academic All-America ballot.
April 30, 2009 – Six women’s tennis and three men’s tennis players received all-MIAA recognition from the league office on Wednesday, highlighted by sophomore Kelsey Kuykendall’s first-team selection at No. 6 singles.
April 27, 2009 - Truman tennis coach Pete Kendall has announced the signing of Maggi Schutte for the 2009-2010 women’s tennis squad. Schutte will enter Truman as a freshman after attending Boone High School in Boone, Iowa.
April 26, 2009 – After opening up with a pair of wins against Emporia, both Truman tennis teams fell in semifinal action at the MIAA Tournament on Saturday. The Bulldog men lost 5-1 to Washburn, while the women dropped a 5-0 decision to Northwest Missouri.
