Dec. 7, 2009 – The Truman volleyball team was ranked 25th in the final AVCA top-25 coaches’ poll of the season, as released Monday by the American Volleyball Coaches Association. With the placement in the final poll, the Truman program marked its 140th consecutive week in the top-25 dating back to the 2000 season.

Nov. 30, 2009 – Truman State University freshman Megan Sharpe has been named the Division II National Freshman of the Year as well as an honorable mention all-American, as released Monday by the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA).

Nov. 24, 2009 – Truman volleyball freshman Megan Sharpe added to her 2009 accolades, as she was named the South Central region Freshman of the Year – as well as first-team all-region – by the AVCA on Tuesday afternoon. She becomes the first Truman volleyball player to be named regional FOY since Sarah Shearman in 2003.

Nov. 19, 2009 – The sixth-seeded Truman volleyball team suffered a 3-0 (-21, -7, -18) loss to third-seeded West Texas A&M in the first round of the 2009 NCAA Div. II tournament. Freshman Megan Sharpe led the Bulldogs with nine kills, and junior libero Casey Bruno paced all players with a match-high 18 digs.

Nov. 18, 2009 – Freshman Megan Sharpe was named MIAA Freshman of the Year and was one of five Truman volleyball players named to all-conference teams, as released Wednesday by the MIAA office. Sharpe and senior Lauren Graybeal were second-team selections, while junior Casey Bruno was a third-team pick. Senior Erin Hattey and junior Ashley Petak received honorable mention status.
