Nov. 19, 2009 – The sixth-seeded Truman volleyball team suffered a 3-0 (-21, -7, -18) loss to third-seeded West Texas A&M in the first round of the 2009 NCAA Div. II tournament. Freshman Megan Sharpe led the Bulldogs with nine kills, and junior libero Casey Bruno paced all players with a match-high 18 digs.
Nov. 18, 2009 – Freshman Megan Sharpe was named MIAA Freshman of the Year and was one of five Truman volleyball players named to all-conference teams, as released Wednesday by the MIAA office. Sharpe and senior Lauren Graybeal were second-team selections, while junior Casey Bruno was a third-team pick. Senior Erin Hattey and junior Ashley Petak received honorable mention status.
Nov. 17, 2009 - For the 10th straight season, the Truman volleyball program will compete in the NCAA postseason tournament and will enter this year as the South Central region’s No. 6 seed. The Bulldogs kick off both the regional and general tournament schedule with a noon first serve on Thursday afternoon against third-seeded West Texas A&M in Warrensburg, Mo.
Nov. 16, 2009 – Truman volleyball is headed to the NCAA tournament for the 10th straight season and 11th time overall, as the Bulldogs received the No. 6 seed for the upcoming South Central regional. Truman will head to Warrensburg, Mo., and the campus of top-seeded Central Missouri, for its first-round match on Thursday against No. 3 seed West Texas A&M.
Nov. 14, 2009 – Lauren Graybeal and Megan Sharpe each recorded double-figure kills, while Erin Hattey had nine kills to go with a .692 hitting percentage to help the No. 19 Truman volleyball squad pick up a 3-1 (22-25, -22, -11, -17) win in the regular season finale at Missouri Western.
