Dec. 3, 2008 – A trio of Truman volleyball seniors – Allie Cherven, Eli Medina and Melissa Keck – were named AVCA all-Americans on Wednesday, one day prior to the start of competition at the NCAA National Championships in St. Paul, Minnesota. Cherven (second-team) picked up her third all-American award in three seasons at Truman, while Keck (honorable mention) was named to the squad for the second straight year. Medina, a third-team selection, received the honor for the first time in her career.

Dec. 1, 2008 - Coming off its fifth South Central regional title in eight years, the Truman volleyball squad will look to maintain its momentum and capture its first National Title at the NCAA Championships - held December 4-6 in St. Paul, Minnesota.

Nov. 26, 2008 – Four Truman senior volleyball players – Allie Cherven, Melissa Keck, Eli Medina and Whitney Boehler – received all-Region honors as released Wednesday by the AVCA. Cherven, Keck and Medina were named to the all-Region team, while Boehler picked up honorable mention status.

Nov. 22, 2008 – The second-seeded Truman volleyball team reached the South Central regional championship for the second consecutive season after defeating sixth-seeded Central Missouri 3-1 (-17, 20-25, -22, -23) Saturday afternoon in Emporia, Kansas.

Nov. 21, 2008 – Truman volleyball picked up win No. 30 on the season in the first round of the NCAA Tournament Friday, as the second-seeded Bulldogs opened the South Central Regional with a 3-0 (-19, -22, -18) win against Nebraska-Omaha.

Nov. 19, 2008 - Truman volleyball will make its 10th postseason appearance this week in the NCAA Regionals, to be held at White Auditorium in Emporia, Kan. The Bulldogs (29-7) will face 7th-seeded Nebraska-Omaha in the opening round Friday at 2:30 p.m.

Nov. 19, 2008 – Repeat first-team honors for seniors Allie Cherven and Melissa Keck headlined Truman’s six selections to the 2008 all-MIAA squads, released Wednesday by the conference office. Seniors Eli Medina and Whitney Boehler were second-team selections, while senior Dana Hanselmann and sophomore Ashley Petak received honorable mention status.

Nov. 18, 2008 – Truman volleyball has signed five players in its early signing period for the Fall 2009 season. Emily Briseno, Heather Hargadine, Cami Martin, Megan Sharpe and Alli Walsh have signed National Letters of Intent to join the program in August.

Nov. 16, 2008 – The Truman volleyball team, ranked 9th in the Bison/AVCA Division II top-25 poll, received the No. 2 seed in the South Central Region for the upcoming 2008 NCAA Division II National Tournament and will face 7th-seeded Nebraska-Omaha on Friday in Emporia, Kansas. It marks the 10th career postseason appearance for the Truman program and ninth consecutive dating back to 2000.

Nov. 15, 2008 – Eleven kills from senior Lisa Weber helped the No. 9 Bulldog volleyball squad celebrate senior night in style, as Truman wrapped up the regular season with a 3-0 (-13, -16, -20) win against Missouri Western.

Nov. 14, 2008 – The Bulldog volleyball offense caught fire Friday night in front of a large crowd at Pershing Arena, and the 9th-ranked team in the nation used its efficiency to cruise to a 3-0 (-11, -10, -17) win against Northwest Missouri State. Truman hit a season-high .433 on the night, while holding the Bearcats to an .047 mark.

Nov. 11, 2008 - The 2008 regular season comes to a close this week for the 9th-ranked Truman volleyball squad with a pair of home matches. The Bulldogs (27-7, 14-4 MIAA) face Northwest Missouri on Friday night before celebrating Senior Night in the regular season finale against Missouri Western on Saturday evening.
Nov. 8, 2008 – Four Bulldogs finished with double-figure kills, and the No. 10 Truman volleyball squad survived an upset scare on the road Saturday, holding on for a 3-2 (20-25, -21, -14, 24-26, 15-12) win at Nebraska-Omaha. Truman moves to 27-7 overall on the season, 14-4 in the MIAA.

Nov. 6, 2008 – Two Truman senior volleyball players – Whitney Boehler and Dana Hanselmann – were named to the ESPN the Magazine College Division Academic All-District third-team, as selected by CoSIDA.
Nov. 5, 2008 – Senior Dana Hanselmann recorded a career-high in both kills (15) and digs (18), while senior Melissa Keck added 15 kills of her own to help No. 10 Truman hold home-court against 14th-ranked Central Missouri, 3-1 (21-25, 27-25, -15, -15) on Wednesday night.

Oct. 31, 2008 – Allie Cherven and Eli Medina each totaled 14 points for the 11th-ranked Truman volleyball squad, as the Bulldogs wrapped up October with a 3-0 (-22, -18. -16) sweep of Missouri Southern on Friday night in Kirksville.
Oct. 28, 2008 – Eli Medina recorded a double-double and Truman picked up MIAA win No. 10 with a 3-0 (-22, -12, -15) win at Southwest Baptist on Tuesday night. The 11th-ranked Bulldogs (23-7, 10-4 MIAA) wrapped up a three-match road trip with a 2-1 record and will end the regular season with five of its next six matches at home in Pershing Arena.
